Between September 1996 and February 1998 triple killer David Burgess was on the run having escaped from prison. Have any unsolved murders been linked to him?

Police said at the time that three unsolved cases were of interest to them in Bath, Exeter and Hastings while Burgess was on the run.

I wonder how he survived whilst on the run? Apart from cash in hand work, sleeping rough (like Arthur Hutchinson did) and robberies (which is how he was caught) there arent many options.

He had a history of poaching as a teenager. Living rough, cash in hand work and theft meant he evaded capture for so long. He'd been a person of interest in the Yolande Waddington murder yet was moved to an open prison.

i think you can only live rough knowing you are on the run for so long then youll get dissalutioned and get careless. This happened to Arthur Hutchinson who made the mistake of going to his mums house in Darlington and Mark Hobson who was spotted at a 24 hour garage and after a week was in a terrible state.

He was caught in a robbery which by then he must have been careless as you said after 18 months of being on the run
