The entry states: "Mifta Rahman Choudhury and Nadeem Ahmed Janjua were convicted of the murder of Hitesh Parmar 19 who had been bullying Mifta Choudhury".
I was working in the Criminal Justice System at the time of this trial, which I attended and - as was stated in court and widely reported at the time - this was a case of mistaken identity and the victim, Hitesh Parmar, had NOT been bullying anyone.
"The victim was not in fact responsible for bullying Mr Choudhury and was attacked in error. There was no provocation by the victim. At the time of the attack the defendants showed no remorse, even after Mr Choudhury realised and told his friends that they had attacked the wrong person. The victim was left in the park to die while Mr Choudhury and Mr Divecha went nightclubbing."
Please amend this entry because it is likely to be very distressing should any member of the victim's family come across it.
