Those childrens' bones that have been dug up in Birmingham have been stated to be just by a field where Brian Field was known to have dumped rubbish.

I do have the tag 'cold case' onthe site. Its not complete and the search is limited so you might have to search by year, ie 2020,cold case or 2004, cold case etc. I will develop that, but the idea is that the tag will extract all the cold cases. Also, I have not flagged up all cold cases yet, I just do that as I find them and remember to do so. Either way, you can get a sense of that from the site if your interested.
I will ensure the above cases are all tagged accordingly now.

THe last one, Joan Harrison, the suspect had died. This highlights the maximum potential for the longest cold case. People die.

Thanks Vicq I knew there were a few more cases around the 35 year+ mark, but couldn't remember off the top of my head. I've just read it was 39 years until the police closed the cold case of Lorraine Jacob. Harvey Richardson had written a confession of sorts. Similar to the Joan Harrison killer. www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-mum-lorraine-jacobs-murder-3453943There will have been a better retention of evidence since the 1984 PACE (Police and Criminal evidence) Act was introduced, I'd have thought. Would be nice if they could solve some 40/50 year old c.cases now!
