I note that you have recorded that William Ryder died in prison in 1936 aged 62. Master Detective (May 2001) records Ryder as being released from prison after eight years. I am endeavouring to find out which is correct.

You'll find it in the Dundee Courier - Wednesday 22 July 1936 reference.

I have William Ryder as dying on July 18th, 1936 in HMP Wormwood Scrubbs of a heart-attack ....
