Hi Admin I've just been having a quick read through some of the cases on the homepage, you've been updating. Was reading about James Lang (now James Kay) The article link below from January 2019, states Lang was released from Broadmoor after 14 years. Though he quickly returned there, after attacking a girl and a woman on his release. The Wigan Post asked the Home Office about Lang's current situation. Predictably, they weren't given an answer. It also mentions the sad news of the victim's mother recently passing away. www.wigantoday.net/news/tragic-wigan-mum-finally-reunited-murdered-daughter-171367Excerpts from an article in the Reading Evening Post Tuesday 21st July 1981: My Years of Hell in Broadmoor - Amazing claims from the recaptured child killer In a long letter to his solicitor, Mr Philip Seymour, Lang criticizes the "violent environment" of Broadmoor and the lack of treatment to cure people like himself... ..."I asked this Doctor what he had in mind for me treatment wise" The Doctor replied "what treatment can i give you? You are a psychopath. There is no treatment for psychopaths" Yet he was released only a few years later? They mustn't have listened to that Doctor. I know what treatment i'd have in mind for that monster...

As James Lang aka Kay was given a Life Sentence he still would come under the Home Office/MofJ even if he were detained not in prison .... when I asked the Lifer Unit about him (August 2006) he was still detained ....
Problem - as I think I said previously - the FOI Act came in and stopped these (simple) replies - it all has to be done officially and information on prisoners (unless they are dead) is exempt from the FOIA - he's not on the 1978-2014 list and hasn't turned up at an inquest (since) or the new body that does prison deaths so I assume he is still detained (somewhere) or has been re-released (which would now seem v. unlikely) .... I think he is still locked up ....
Matthew:)

Thanks Matthew I read a post on an online Wigan forum from two years ago. Somebody stated he had been released, but there was no source for that information. Hopefully he's still receiving "years of Hell" somewhere secure. Admin As i was reading about Lang, i found an article about escape bids from Broadmoor. In 1981 both Lang and Alan Reeve escaped within three weeks of each other. www.blackkalendar.nl/c/6249/Alan%20Patrick%20ReeveReeve died on 12th July 2016 according to Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_ReeveEdit: Just read that Reeve was not in custody when he died
