A Dundee man who was serving a life sentence for murder at Perth Prison died at King's Cross Hospital, Dundee, early yesterday. A spokesman for the Scottish Prison service confirmed the Brian Low (30) had been suffering from a long term illness and had been in hospital for a week. Following a two week trial at Forfar High Court in May 1992, a jury convicted Low of murdering 44yr old epilepsy sufferer John Furey at a house in Whitfield on New Year's Day that year,in a knife attack. A co accused who was convicted along with Low was later acquitted after being found not guilty at a second trial in Aberdeen. Dundee Courier 18th July 1996
