Unfit to plead Frank James Goodall, 22, labourer, was indicted for the murder of Alfred James Budd Goodall at Hove on March 3rd (1914) Evidence was given by Dr W.A.Dow Medical Officer at Lewes prison that the prisoner was at the present time insane. The jury found that he was unfit to plead and the judge ordered him to be detained during His Majesty's pleasure. Sussex Agricultural Express 9th July 1914
Prisoner Dies A verdict of death by natural causes was returned at Broadmoor on Frank James Goodall (69) who had spent 47 years at the prison, after being found to be insane on a murder charge. Belfast Telegraph 8th November 1961
