www.michaelstone.co.uk/Theres info there. I think first you need to satisfy yourself that stone didn't do it. however, there is no evidence that bellfield was involved other than an alledged confession. the fact that they were in the same prison suggests that it might have been bogus. I have not realy read the info on stones case but I do recall reading something and watching something and thinking that his conviction was unsafe. its a strange case as it appears to be a stranger murder which is rare. I don't think the case gets much attention because stone was a bit of a bad egg to start with I think bellfield being involved is too fanciful. why not peter tobin, he seems flavour of the month for attributing murders to? I sort of thought bellfield didn't travel far.

I doubt Tobin was involved, he was in prison on the rape charge at the time. His m.o. was different.

I was sat at the bus stop on the same road where Bellfield lived in West Drayton. I'll never forget his big moon face staring at me from his white van. I'd been told when I moved here someone was in the area who was out to get blondes. On another occasion someone in a red car, like the one he took Millie in, was trolling the schools & tried to take a young girl. His attempts were thwarted when the girl started screaming & yelling & quickly left. Word spread like wildfire as it does around here & he wasn't seen again.

The photo fit provided by Josie Russell does look similar to Bellfield.

The photo fit provided by Josie Russell does look similar to Bellfield. Agreed. Stone was 5'7 and built like a whippet, she stated the killer was burly and 6ft or so.

Like many, I have studied this case and there is at the very least credible evidence that Bellfield should at least be seriously a suspect. He fits the description by the surviving child, he drove a similar car at the time to the one seen in the area by witnesses, his ex says he knew the area. I don't think its fanciful at all.
