It was a "who's the hardest" type fight as I recall which is very typical of the region I live in. I find these cases are even more intriguing when they are close to home, As it were,I was already a true crime enthusiast when this happened.. So on new years eve 2019 I came home from the shops to find swarms of police and ambulance crew right outside my house! They had been a murder investigation a woman had been found dead. And the prime suspect was her boyfriend who was subsequently arrested the same day in possession of a knife and held. To watch the investigation unfold and the logististics involved was fascinating and I had a ring side view so to speak, sadly This case will never make to this site and justice was cheated as the suspect was found dead in HMP Durham, (I await the ppo report) subsequently the trial was scrapped, Not only was this too close to home but I considered it rare, But I cant be sure how rare it is? I don't know the statistics of how many times this as happened But I thought I'd share this as some form of recognition to the victim and family. www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/man-accused-murdering-redcar-mum-17578616
